It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to CENTRAM, the Center of Talent Re-engineering & Management, a capacity building and consulting institution.
This time round we are proud to report yet another milestone in the cyber security space, where we organized a successful cyber security conference in Kampala, Uganda in collaboration with the National Information Technology Authority,NITA , Uganda Communications Commission and KOENIG SOLUTIONS, the No.1 IT global off shore trainers.
The conference was well attended by representatives from various public and private sector organisations and was opened by the Ugandan Minister of Information & ICT , Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, who noted in his speech read by his representative, pertinent issues like the need to guard against cyber threats on Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) like the telecoms, energy, financial institution information networks.
He also reiterated the need to build capacity of IT personnel to secure the national information infrastructure and to periodically upgrade the National Computer Emergency Respond Team ( CERT) in order to secure investments in digital assets.
After the conference whose main speaker was Rajneesh Upadhayay,a Cyber Security Expert from KOENIG SOLUTIONS, it was resolved that CENTRAM should take a lead in-country cyber security training to build up a critical mass in the fight against cyber crime in the region.
In this regard with effect from September 2016, we shall introduce in-country and off shore cyber security training in our training programmes.
